2015 Living under the Lion’s Roar

2015:5775

"They shall walk after the Lord.  He will roar like a lion.  When He roars,
then His sons shall come trembling from the west."  Hosea 11:10

Dear friends,
As we prepare to enter a New Year both in the Hebraic year (Rosh Hashanah) and a few months later in our Gregorian year 2015, I have kept hearing “Living under the Lion’s Roar.”  I couldn’t get away from the thought.  At times it overwhelmed me with the sense of God’s purpose.  What does it mean and how does it relate to the coming year?  Indeed, this year in the Hebraic year is 5775.  It is a “mirror” year where the numbers mirror each other 57-75.  When we look into the mirror, we look both forward and backward. The number 5 is the Hebrew letter “hey” meaning, to behold.  In a mirror year, what do we behold?  What do we see for the future and what do we behold when we look back and how does it relate to the “Lion’s roar?”            I recently received a very powerful and accurate prophetic word.  Part of the focus of the word was to look back.  The Lord wants you to look back at something He showed you in the past.   Immediately, I knew what it was.  I wanted to weep because it was something that I thought would never be regarded or bear fruit.  The Lord reminded me of a vision I had within a year of the incident I believe the word was pointing me to.  It was a vision of a vast desert…very large.  Off in the distance I could see like a pinpoint a lion walking across the desert.  It was walking at a slow determined pace, occasionally turning his head to the side as if viewing the vast wasteland with intent.  Over a few days, the vision progressed until the lion was very close.  The fear of the Lord gripped me.  I was like the frozen chosen in a vast desert staring into an approaching lion. Suddenly, the lion stopped, and laid down.  As it did so, green began to grow underneath it and a palm tree sprang up.  The coolness was inviting.  I began to feel comfortable with the lion.  It seemed like an eternity sitting with him. Suddenly without warning, the lion stood up.  There was strength in its stance.  Its eyes were very focused as he looked back on the vast desert he had just traversed.  He moved His head in a majestic bow and as He raised it a clear and thunderous roar came forth.  It shook the atmosphere and loosed a wind over the desert.  He began to walk with strong determined steps, this time roaring from side to side.  As he walked, the earth shook, and a huge forest sprang out from behind him.  As he went across the desert he had just traversed, foliage sprang up behind him and turned the desert into a vast garden of vegetation and trees.  I walked behind him delighting in the coolness of the forest and the vast vegetation but ever mindful of the roar.  Sometimes I could see the lion, sometimes I couldn’t, but I could always hear the roar and it would cause me to do different turns and tasks.  For in the wake of the roar, there was always life.
So often, when we enter a new year, we look forward to the new things God is doing.  We often think of forgetting the old to do the “new thing,” (Isaiah 43:19)   But in this year of the “mirror,” in the roar of the lion, the Elijah spirit is rising up to restore all things (Matthew 17:11).  God is the creator God.  He created us from the beginning with gifts and callings that are irrevocable.  In this mirror year, the God of all creation wants us not only to look forward but to look back with intent.  Why?  When the lion roars, the dead bones come to life.  Not only are we to go forward, but we are to regard our past with utmost fear and trepidation.  God did not create things to be wasted.   He is the great economist.  He will cause all things to work together for good, (Romans 8:28).  Our past must be regarded under a new atmosphere of living under the Lion’s roar as we step forward into the future.
What does living under the roar of the Lion look like?  Here are some thoughts.  When living under the lion’s roar…
  • My life becomes His life in me
  • My ministry becomes His ministry
  • Friendship with God becomes sonship
  • The good things in our lives and ministries give way to the God thing.  Even fruitful ministry will enter into new seasons of change and growth.  Seemingly barren ministries that have been tried and tested in the wilderness will receive new favor, strategy, and steps to take them forward.
  • His Presence in us turns from visitation to habitation
  • We turn to face the fears that have held us back with faith.
  • That which we thought was lost is found.  Dead and forgotten vision, suddenly springs forth life.  Those dreams and visions you have had, suddenly come to remembrance.  New strategies and anointing falls upon you to retrieve what you had forgotten, or felt was lost or hopeless.
  • Problems and difficulties we have faced turn into purpose
  • The power of His Word transforms our thinking (Romans 12:2) and the grip of rejection, depression, and even presumption are exposed and broken.  Repentence will not be just words but life changing.
  • Insecurities vanish as we line up with our irrevocable gifts and callings.
  • As we line up and agree with our God given gifts and callings, our gifts make a way for us.
  • People around you can sense the Lion’s roar spiritually in you and favor is released.  That which was once rejected now is received.
  • Inward thoughts suddenly shift outward as we see things from God’s eyes and not through our own.
  • The hope that was bound by despair is renewed and released into reality
  • Past failures become stepping stones of wisdom rather than hindrances for the future
  • Weariness turns to renewed vision and zeal
  • The desert of our lives turns into destiny and becomes fruitful.
In this mirror year, the Lord wants us to “behold” Him in a new way.  The majesty of God’s goodness, everlasting love, purposeful creation will release His economy.  His creative force will breathe new life in us as we choose to live in the Lion’s roar.  The desert of the past is going to spring forth new amazing fruit as He clothes us in new garments.  The accusers attacks can no longer bear fruit (Zechariah 3).  He is dressing us for the future this year in new garments that will yield great fruit.  Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).  His faithfulness is forever.  The year of the mirror will bring forth the amazing economy of God.  He who created you will never forget.  “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb?  Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you!” (Isaiah 49:15).             5775, a mirror year for you.  He will not forget what He created you for.  His promises are sure.  That which you thought was lost will be found and used in His great economy.  There is purpose in it all.  Nothing is lost in His kingdom!  Look in the mirror!  What do you see?  What do you behold?  May the Lion's roar and the “mirror year” 5775 arise and spring forth new life in us all!  A great awakening is coming.  The Lion is roaring.

In the Lion's roar,
Susan Rowe

“Sing, O barren, you have not borne!  Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child!
For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.  Isaiah 54:1
